Borders and Immigration

International Rescue Committee

The International Rescue Committee, IRC, works in over 40 countries and in 22 United States cities. IRC responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people survive and rebuild their lives. In the United States IRC helps support newly arrived refugees by providing immediate aid. With the help of volunteers, IRC provides food, shelter and other tools such as job placement, employment skills, clothing, education and community orientation. Each of these resettlement offices serves as a free help and support system for refugees.

World Relief

World Relief is a global organization with the mission of empowering the local church to serve the most vulnerable. Here in Nashville we assist international refugees to become self-sufficent. In cooperation with the local church and community partners in Middle Tennessee, we desire the refugee community to be transformed socially, economically, and spiritually.
